Cherry Culture NYX haul.

If you haven't heard of Cherry Culture, check it out right this very moment. I'll wait for you to get back. Check it out? Let me guess, you were on the site for about an hour and found about 100 things you want. Ok, so you couldn't buy them all, but a whole lot more than you would on another site! I love Cherry Culture, especially for NYX products.

This website also has a reward system and email newsletter like many makeup companies. Well, last week I received one of their newsletters stating that they were having a NYX 50% off sale. You think this girl would pass that up?! Hell no! Even if that meant one less drink or a smaller dinner. Most of my items have been on my list for quite some time, so it was very exciting to see this amazing news.

These are all the products I purchased. The Jumbo eye pencils, cream blushes, and the Soft Matte Lip Creams were planned purchases, the rest ended up in my basket somehow... like magic.

Jumbo eye pencils - strawberry milk, purple velvet, cottage cheese

Long Lip Liners - current, pinky, natural
Soft Matte Lip Creams - Tokyo, Adisababa

Cream Blushes - hot pink, glow

Eyeshadow Trio - Orange/Golden Orange/Peach

amazing contest!

If you're not a youtube addict like me, or don't follow MissChievous, start doing so NOW. She is holding an AMAZING contest and giving away $1000 worth of Sigma brushes to several winners. It's not hard to enter, there are several ways to do so: comment, video, facebook, and twitter. I believe I have done it all so far. Below are both her video explaining the contest, and my video entry. Check it out, why wouldn't someone want the chance to win some makeup brushes?!

brush care.

Sigma has created a makeup brush drying system called Dry'n Shape.

I don't know about you, but cleaning my brushes is always a gamble and I never want to do it. I have tried several ways to either help them dry more quickly or preserve their shape; I've attempted to hang brushes upside down, wrap each brush in a towel, and even blow dry them. Nothing truly works. I've thought about getting the Brush Guard several times, but still have yet to actually purchase them. Then, I say the Dry'n Shape on facebook and completely fell in love. If I had the money I would get this in a heart beat. Maybe it'll be one of my graduation presents to myself. Watch the video below to be totally blown away!

smokey blue.

A really simply way to get a quick smokey look is to smudge a pencil liner along you lash line, concentrating most of the color to the outside. With a similar colored shadow, smudge and blend the liner up and outward. Add a highlight of your choice to the inner corner and brow bone, then finish by smudging liner along the lower lash line. This take hardly any time and gives you a fool proof look. =)

black&white.

I'd say this look is wearable for some, and not for others. I'd totally rock this on a night out with the right outfit. A red or a nude lip would look awesome. All you need is a creamy white pencil, white shadow, black liquid eyeliner, black shadow, and the bottom can either be gray liner and shadow or black. I personally love the gray bottom; it add dimension and a little bit of softness to such a harsh look. If I were actually wearing this out, I would NOT highlight beneath my brow as I normally do. Instead I would prep the entire lid with a skin tone shadow to create a smooth appearance. A bold eyebrow is also necessary.
