Look of the Day 3/27/11

I don't think there is a more universal look than a bold lip and winged eyeliner. I was inspired to do this by pixiwoo's Elizabeth Taylor tribute.

Look of the Day 3/24/11

I think St. Patty's day inspired a new obsession with green.

After priming my eye with Soft Ocher Paint Pot by MAC, I drew a thick line of Rocky Mountain Green NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil all the way around my lash line and smudged it out with my ring finger. Then, with a flat shader brush, I applied a mixture of a dark kelly green and a teal blue with gold duo chrome directly over the Jumbo Pencil. After most of the shadow was off the brush, I used it to blend the shadow just below the crease. With a thick, flat top crease brush, apply a warm, red brown from crease to brow and a cooler brown, such as wedge or cork from MAC, into and ever so slightly above the crease. Using a more slender, pointy crease brush, apply a dark green color, such as Plumage by MAC, into the outer crease. Apply a highlight shade of your choice to the inner crease and below the brow. Now, all you have to do is your liner and bottom shadow to be done! Beautiful! =)

Look of the Day 3/16/11

Oh purple, who doesn't love you?!

I achieved this look using the Wet and Wild 8 pan palette in Petal Pusher.
Not much else to say about this look. It's pretty straight forward. =)

Look of the Day 3/14/11 *BONUS*

Look #1

Look #2

Both of these looks are really wearable for St. Patty's day this Thursday, seeing as how they both have green in them. I've been really liking purple and green together. But, be careful not to look like Barney! I really, really like how the green look turned out. The trick here was using a matte green on the lid and a matte, light brown in the crease instead of a darker green. I used a very small amount of plumage by MAC between the green and brown and added gold beneath the eye for a fun St. Patty's Day punch!
